His personality

For the past seven weeks, when Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith was spending his Sundays as a key reserve rather than as a starter, the swagger never really left him. He never lacked the confidence or  ED HardY charisma that he possessed as a rising rookie.

His personality? That stayed exactly the same. His job about the field? Well, that has been slightly subdued. On Sunday from the Bengals, it may be about to change.

``No. 24 has returned for action,'' said Smith, when asked on the Armando and also the Amigo radio show on WFTL 640 on Thursday morning whether he will start against the Bengals.

That isn't to say cornerback Jason Allen may be demoted -- that possibility exists but has not been confirmed by coach Tony Sparano. If the Bengals open the game inside a three-receiver set, Allen may still be included in the coverage.

In either case, Smith is on the verge of cheap nfl jerseys playing a far more prominent role, which is worthy of recognition by itself.

``I can tell you, in my mind at this time, Sean has done a really good job with the role that he has,'' Sparano said. ``He's played lots of plays for the reason that role during the last three weeks.''

It has been an unusual few months for Smith, who lost his starting job on the eve of the season after struggling during training camp.

Consequently, a good rookie season caused high Moncler jackets expectations that were put on hold for that first six games of this year.

For that second half of the game from the Steelers, Smith was in his starting role opposite Vontae Davis, a move that served since the first indication that change was on the horizon.

Now about the brink of playing even more, Smith will have a big opportunity as he gets his feet wet in the first quarter Sunday. Due to juicy Terrell Owens' size and strength, Smith's big frame will probably be essential to stopping him.

``Owens is really a strong dude,'' Smith said. ``You don't usually face a receiver that strong. He's strong. He pushes you right off of him, and he knows all the veteran secrets of the pros.''

Smith, who played against Owens twice last year throughout the Owens' one season with the Bills, said Owens is the strongest coach bags player at his position -- including Dolphins teammate Brandon Marshall.

``Brandon is up there, but I'll have to give Owens a notch over Brandon in terms of strength,'' Smith said.

Naturally, this is a pretty ideal week for that second-year cornerback to become a more featured player in the Dolphins' defense. At 6-3 and 214 pounds, it had been Smith's size that made him this asset last   cheap hollister clothes season.
